Jitander S. Dudee, MD, FACS, FRCOphth

Jitander Dudee, Doctor of Ophthalmology, completed his medical training with honors from Cambridge University and St Thomas’s Hospital Medical School in England. His hard work earned him the prestigious Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London, England. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Washington National Eye Center, Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Dudee has been in private practice in Lexington, KY since 1994. He has extensive surgical expertise, having performed several thousands of ocular surgeries. Dr. Dudee is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Kentucky Medical Association and the Lexington Medical Society. He has received numerous awards and professional distinctions and is responsible for several patents in the eye care industry.

Dr. Dudee and staff are amazing. I was a complete nervous wreak going into the office. I felt at total ease the moment I walked in to door. Absolutely amazing staff and doctor. I went in for a specific exam to start medicine for lupus and not only was the staff amazingly kind. Dr. Dudee was so comforting and explained everything which relieved my stress and concern. Would highly recommend this office to anyone.

Doctor Dudee is the most amazing doctor. My vision has been restored to nearly the same as when I was in my 20s. Not bad for a 65 year old man. Nearly 20/15. Amazing what he can do.

A coworker suggested Dr. Dudee, and I’m glad she did. From check in to the completion of my visit everyone was extremely professional, pleasant and knowledgeable. My visit did not take long & I felt as if I was their primary concern, although of course other patients were there. The facility was bright in lobby, but soothing with dim lights in your exam area. Additionally, the staff does an amazing job ensuring that the equipment is properly sanitized prior to your use. It is apparent that strict COVID precautions are being taken regularly. This facility will continue to be the establishment that cares for my eyes, especially being diabetic. I highly recommend them.

Speaking as a person who has had her eyes checked the last four years by a doctor at Visionworks, you won’t find that here. All of the equipment in this office is state-of-the-art. The people are totally professional. And the doctor is caring and knowledgeable.

I wish I could remember the technician that help with my first visit. So young to show such professionalism! Thorough yet pleasant throughout the visit then watched as she scribed for the physician! Efficient and attentive. Physician efficient and went over exam in detail answering all questions. I travel over an hour each way to see Dr. Dudee because he and his staff are simply the best. The offices are pristinely clean and impeccably maintained at the highest level. It is obvious that Dr. Dudee and his entire staff truly care deeply about their patients and they operate the facility at the highest professional standards. They are truly the “gold standard” in patient care.
