"Total Eye Exam" Services
We treat each patient as an individual and not just another "chart".
We want to be your Eye Doctors for life, so service and quality are
our first concerns. We know how valuable your time is so we will
make every effort to minimize your waiting time. We also have
convenient evening hours 1 day a week.
To help us provide the best possible service and to minimize delays,
we ask that you take the time to provide us some information at the
time of making your appointment. This way, our staff may be able to
check whether you need a referral from your family doctor, and we
can also look into any vision or optical benefits that may be
available to you.
At our office we have state-of-the-art equipment to give you the
most thorough eye exam possible. Our "comprehensive eye exam" goes
far beyond an "eye test" or "refraction" for corrective lenses, and
includes a full clinical evaluation as well as a consultation with
our Doctors. We check for glaucoma as well as subtle retinal and
neurological signs that might be early warnings of more serious
disorders including diabetes, cardiovascular disease and nervous
system disorders.
Many insurance companies will cover all or most of this exam, making
our eye examination an exceptional value. We can help you check with
your insurance. There may be a co-pay or deductible and some plans
limit number of visits in a year or require a referral from your
family Doctor. We accept Workers Compensation for work related eye
injuries. refractive corrections, the preciseness of the technology
we employ ensures the best possible outcome for optical
prescriptions.
Here is what you can expect during our "comprehensive eye exam":
- an evaluation of your medical history
- an examination of the exterior areas of the eyes and
surrounding tissues
- a check of muscle movement
- checks of your visual acuity (clarity)
- full dilation of the eye and 360 degrees retinal exam
- computerized refraction to determine the best corrective
prescription if required
- a glaucoma screening
- a consultation with the doctor on the same office visit
- drops to reverse dilation if desired
- further tests if necessary (which may require additional
charges)
